You will receive instruction on water quality issues facing Costa Rica. You will become familiar with the Quepos region, the water supply and sanitation issues, and how this research conducted is an important link to
improving water quality and public health. Maintaining water quality in Costa Rica is a challenge. Blackwater enters septic systems where it is currently unclear what level of treatment this waste receives before entering back into the environment.
