Last-Mile Health Security & Community Health Promotion

Rural communities are facing real gaps in healthcare access. This volunteer and internship program places you at the center of that challenge: working directly with Village Health Teams (VHTs) and local health centers across Pader, Omoro, Lira, Kole, and Oyam Districts. You will support health education, disease prevention, and family health interventions where they are needed most.

The work spans three core areas: community health outreach, vector control and disease prevention, and integrated family health. Volunteers assist with maternal and child health education, nutrition programs, safe water access, and hygiene promotion (WASH).

This is practical, field-based work with measurable community impact. It suits students and graduates in public health, medicine, nursing, social work, or related fields, as well as motivated non-specialists committed to global health equity.
