This course is a combination of English as a Second Language (ESL) and the principles and practices of sustainable destination management.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Explain the various types of destinations
• Describe the tourism system
• Explain its relevance and relationship to the management of destinations
• Evaluate various impacts (economic, social, cultural, and environmental) on the destination
• Assess the various stakeholder relationships
• Examine risks and crises
• Decide on best tools to monitor the tourism industry in a country
