Masters in Art (Global African Studies)

The MA in Global African Studies is a joint program between the University of Johannesburg (UJ) and the University of the West Indies (UWI), which is offered via a blended modality. It focuses on theories, principles, practices, and policies promoting integrated and holistic human development at the local, national, regional, and international levels in ‘Global Africa’ (Africa and its Diaspora). It includes four broad courses exploring theories and approaches to human and socio-economic development and underdevelopment, development management, developmental states, environmental and natural resources management, sustainable development, and gender and development.
