London Summer 2022

This was one of the best experiences I had in my college career. Jeremy was a top-notch facilitator and made the experience fun and manageable. I enjoyed living in South Ken (even if the avocado toast was 15 pounds). Dr. Stone and Margot were some of the best teachers I have had and the cultural immersion was something I will never forget. USAC is a premier program that made the entire experience worth much more than the price tag. I would do it again in a heartbeat and recommend this experience to anyone asking me about studying abroad. I was able to check sightseeing and culinary bucket lists items off my list and still talk to most of the people from my group.

I picked London to study for the summer, and it was an experience. It was an 8-week program when we had the option to take 1-2 courses related to sociology. I had taken LGBTQ+ studies, and that was the best part of the program. I loved my professor and advisor. They really love their job and it shows. As for the all the activities planned, we are all given a choice to be apart of them. It was nice to have a choice and each of them I felt secure and had fun. My only con to the trip is we did not have a kitchen nor a fridge in the dorms. A lot of money would have been saved if I was capable to cool for myself.

Growing up watching British period dramas with my mom, I always wanted to study abroad and live in London. USAC gave me the opportunity to live, learn, and work abroad. Studying abroad gave me experiences I will remember for a lifetime. Coordinated activities ranged from a hike along the English coastline, watching a performance at the Globe theater, visiting beautiful museums, and even touring a palace! Some of my favorite memories include visiting bookstores after spending a workday at my internship. I also cherish the friendship I gained with those I studied abroad with - we became incredibly close in such a short period of time. My experience abroad was truly transformational!

Study abroad is the perfect steppingstone for a first time traveler!

Prior to my abroad experience, I had never been out of the country and had little to no knowledge of international travel. USAC did a great job of preparing me for my month abroad before departure, helping me adjust once I arrived, and immersing me into the British culture while I was there. Our resident director, Jeremy, was awesome and really cared about our experience. He planned field trips that were the perfect balance of educational exploration and fun for myself and my group members. Our housing situation wasn't the best, but for a short-term experience it was fine, I just wouldn't want to live there for an entire semester. For anyone who is looking to try living abroad without any prior experience, I think a summer session is the perfect amount of time to explore without becoming too overwhelmed!

I was so lucky to be able to go abroad last summer with USAC. I went to London Met. in London England. I took a class on Luxury Branding and it was genuinely the most interesting class I have ever taken. Our professor was amazing and I feel so so lucky to be able to of learned from her. Our advisor was great and so helpful during the month. Overall, there is nothing that I would of changed and I loved every minute of the program!

I loved studying in London! I met a ton of awesome people and made unforgettable memories. I was able to travel from Wales to Brighton and experience everything in between. I went to Stonehenge and the Roman baths. I was even able to see Oxford and immerse myself in the small college town. I loved every moment of my study abroad trip. I would absolutely do it again!
