Best Semester ever!
September 19, 2025by: Katerina Ontko - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad at UAB: Tailor Made Study Programs for Groups
During my time abroad I learned more about the world, myself and what i'm capable of than ever before. This was by far the most rewarding thing I have ever done and not a day goes by where I don't miss it. Ive made the best friends I could ever ask for, had some of the best food in my life, seen the most beautiful architecture and learned so much history about other regions its amazed me. I learned how to navigate new environments all on my own in countries where English was not a first language. Ive grown so much independently and mentally from this and will take it with me in my future success! For anyone that is on the fence about going abroad I strongly encourage that you won't regret it, the worst part about abroad for me was having to leave a place that I quickly called home!

Best semester ever
September 19, 2025by: Katerina Ontko - United StatesGoing abroad has been the most rewarding, exciting and thrilling thing I've ever done. I have never laughed so hard, learned so much or seen the world more than I have while traveling. Going to move to a different continent for 4 months makes you realize how much there is to learn about yourself and what you're capable of. The independency you learn and keep with you is so important and learning to navigate your way around the world with ought your usual help makes you feel great. Ive met my very best friends abroad and still talk to them daily, the worst part about study abroad for me was having to leave the country that quickly became home to me. The culture, food, architecture and history is something that is one of a kind and you can't find anywhere in the United States. It really shows you how big the world actually is and how small you actually are, if I could do this again I would 1000 times over and over with ought hesitation. Dint take this experience for granted there's so much more I wish I did!

The best decision for a college student
April 10, 2025by: Emma Schardt - GermanyProgram: Study Abroad at UAB: Business Management Across Europe
I had an amazing time, truly a time in my life I will always cherish. I was able to call a new place home, meet so many new people who I made lifelong friendships with and created memories I will forever remember. I also grew as a person by navigating a new environment completely on my own, finding myself away from environments I am used to and explored new places that taught me so much.

I was inspired to go about because it truly is a once in a lifetime experience and we are only this young once, so why not take advantage of that. It also gave me the opportunity to travel around and see so many other countries with different cultures, languages, and food!
