Get answers to all the most common questions about Treklanders Adventures.
What age group can join on this high altitude trek of two weeks?
The trek is open to participants aged 16 to 70, but they should be in good physical health. The trek itself is moderate, but the altitude can make it strenuous. Acclimatization days are included to make the trek easier.
How are the foods and accommodation on treks?
As you journey from Lukla to Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep, you can find comfortable lodges and guesthouses. Each overnight stop offers warm traditional hospitality, and guests can choose from budget, standard, and luxury accommodations where available.
The dining halls are spacious and cozy, offering a wide range of meal options from the menu, including various items and snacks.
Does all lodges on route have electricity power and internet?
Most lodges have electricity powered by hydro or solar panels, where you can charge your devices for an extra fee. Wifi and internet are available at most lodges. Still, the connection can be unreliable due to weather and location. Local cell phone reception is generally good.
Do the flights operate from beyond Kathmandu?
During peak season, flights between Lukla and Kathmandu can be busy, with over 20 flights operating on a clear day. To avoid air traffic congestion, some flights are diverted to Ramechap Airport, a 4-5 hour drive from Kathmandu. The flight from Ramechap to Lukla is only 20-25 minutes.
