Become part of this volunteer teaching program and assist teachers in schools or teach your own classes if you feel comfortable. Your role largely involves teaching English or Mathematics. But if you're competent in other areas, you're welcome to lead another subject. Classes start at 9:00 am and finish by 3:00 pm, and the students are between grades 1 and 4 (7 – 11 years old). Your placement depends on your wishes, which could be at a local school or an orphanage with a school attached to it. Orphanages often have a minimum of 70 children and some don't have an adjoining school. But if you would like to teach these kids who would otherwise not have access to education, then you can also organize classes for them.
