I have just finished the 190 hour hybrid course with The TEFL Institute of Ireland. There is a good range of course options available, so it feels easy to find something that fits what you are looking for. Shauna gave me loads of clear information and pointed me towards the course that suited me best. I really enjoyed the material and found it kept my interest throughout. The online guided learning made it possible to keep on top of the course while still working full time and managing my personal life. Being able to move through everything at my own speed was a huge plus for me. Rachel stayed in contact the whole time I was completing it and was great at communicating. I did not join the weekly Tutor Zoom classes, but I liked knowing the support was there whenever I needed it. The discord chat also came in handy, and the administrators got back to questions very quickly. I would definitely recommend The TEFL Institute of Ireland to anyone thinking about doing a TEFL course.

Being a qualified teacher already, I actually appreciated having the fundamentals revisited. It can feel a bit tiring at times, but it did not bother me. I would suggest it to anyone who wants to teacher English to students. The courses open up so many opportunities.

I had a great time doing it, and it really clarified what I will need when it comes to teaching English online. I would definitely suggest this course to anyone thinking about teaching online. I cannot recommend getting TEFL certified through the TEFL Institute of Ireland enough. My wide and I signed up for the 180 hour Level 5 course last year, and once we finished it, we headed off on a truly life changing year abroad teaching English in South Korea. Honestly, the whole office has been amazing. Whenever anything came up, whether it was course related or to do with our year abroad, someone was always there to point us in the right direction. Lately we have been in touch with Annelies, and she has been so quick to reply to emails and return calls, and she was incredibly helpful with all of our questions. Massive thanks to Kate, Ola, Annelies, and everyone else we have dealt with at the TEFL Institute of Ireland for making everything feel so smooth and straightforward, from completing our TEFL certificates to actually putting them to use teaching English overseas.

I have just finished the 30 hour online teaching course. I am really pleased with it because it covered so much and gave me plenty to think about before I start teaching online. I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering teaching English online.

The TEFL Institute provide notes that are straightforward, full of useful information, and laid out really well. The course is broken into modules that each cover a separate topic, with extra learning tools added in, like Youtube videos and images. Although everything is online, it is still very simple to reach them if you run into problems or have questions about what you are working through. There is also plenty of help when it comes to job searching, including guidance on interview prep and what to expect when starting work in different countries. On top of that, they share additional resources such as webinars so people can stay up to date on vacancies and any new information that comes out.

I did four years of Education at university, but I still had to get an extra qualification so I could teach English. I ended up enrolling in The TEFL Institute’s Highfield Level 5 Diploma in TEFL (180 hours), and honestly, it went over a lot of the same ground as what I studied at uni. The online platform is straightforward to navigate and it comes with plenty of extra reading that will really help you feel ready to teach. The notes from TEFL Institute of Ireland are easy to follow, full of useful information, and simple to find your way around. Having audio and video clips included across the course really helps keep the lessons interesting. I would happily come back and take another course in the future!
