Diploma of Interior Design in Florence, Italy in English

This academic program is for entry-level students and is available as a one-year diploma or a two-year advanced diploma. The main focus is on providing a general introduction to interior design through a structured and concentrated process. All courses are in English and cover all aspects, including lighting, materials, colors, and space planning.

To achieve good results, studies in interiors require full-time participation, 40-50 hours weekly, split between home and classroom. The diploma courses provide fundamental introductions to all areas of two-dimensional and three-dimensional design. The two-year program encompasses a wide range of topics, including theory, research, design concepts, architectural history, and the creation of architectural drawings and renderings.

The second year is much more thorough in its exploration of design concepts, materials and technical development. Larger and more complex projects are developed during this year, with greater attention to material selection, lighting and construction details. Students also expand their three-dimensional design skills through furniture design, digital modeling with Rhino and physical prototyping using 3D printing.
