The Palestinian Women’s Rights Volunteer Program

The Palestinian Women’s Rights Program in Palestine is a volunteer initiative offering international participants the opportunity to visit Hebron, West Bank, and gain insight into women’s rights in Palestine. Volunteers meet Palestinian women, visit women’s rights organizations, community centers, refugee camps, and NGOs, and engage in educational and cultural activities throughout their stay. The program educates participants about gender equality and power dynamics in Palestinian society. Volunteers work alongside local women to advocate for their rights and support their empowerment in areas such as family, workplace, and politics, while promoting safety from violence, exploitation, and discrimination. Through this immersive experience, participants gain a deeper understanding of women’s rights in Hebron, one of the most conservative cities in Palestine. The program in Palestine also provides opportunities to study and practice Arabic, connect with other international volunteers, and experience Palestinian daily life firsthand.
