Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to all the most common questions about The Dragon Trip.

Where does this trip start and finish?

This tour starts in Buenos Aires, Argentina and ends in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. All transport and accommodation is included throughout the tour. (International Airfare not included)

What is the general demographic of travellers on this tour?

While we get a huge range of people on this tour, we tend to see that this tour is most popular with people in their 20's and 30's.

How do I get my Visas?

Visa requirements depend on your nationality, but the good news is that most travellers can enter South American countries either visa-free or with a visa on arrival. If you’re travelling on an Australian passport, you’ll need to apply for an online visa before your trip.

To stay on the safe side, it’s always best to double-check with your local consulate and embassy before travelling.

How much should I budget for food and drink on the Dragon Trip?

This can vary based on your eating habits and preferences, but we usually visit affordable local spots to keep costs low. On average, budgeting around £15-£20 per day should comfortably cover your food and drink throughout the trip.

What travel insurance do I need?

We require all our customers to have backpackers travel insurance when coming on the trip. We recommend purchasing travel insurance that offers ‘Bad Weather or Natural Disaster Coverage’.

Please bring details of your travel insurance along with you. In the event of an accident, we may need to contact your insurance company on your behalf, so we will need the insurance company’s name and phone number and your policy number.
