Welcome to the only TEFL course in Toulouse! Cut out the agencies and apply directly here to our externally accredited in-class TEFL course, which is now in its 16th year.
The in-class course is externally moderated and accredited by IATQUO UK. It runs from 9 am to 6:30 pm 4 days a week for 5 weeks, at our training center, located opposite the beautiful Jardin des Plantes in central Toulouse, in Southwest France. We run around 7 courses a year, and each trainee has a minimum of 6 hours of observed teaching practice. We offer lifetime job support, and sessions in teaching Young Learners, Business English, and online are included.
We also now offer a 13-week blended version of the course, with just one week spent in Toulouse for teaching pratice.
French language skills are not necessary, and non-native English speakers are welcome to apply. For those who need a student visa to live and work in France after the course, our trainees benefit from discounts at a local French language school.
Accommodation is from around 500 euros for the 5 weeks, with an array of options to suit your budget.

TEFL TOULOUSE required a good amount of commitment to study and practice, as I believe all TEFL courses do at this high level of quality training. But I found it to be very enjoyable! Everyone in my group enjoyed it! It's a brilliant way to teach people English. Very effective! I can highly recommend it!
I was looking for a practical and efficient short length training and the TEFL course did not disappoint in this regard. The course is intense but gives you the tools to be a qualified English teacher in only a month. At times I felt a subjective point of view of teaching was being taught (it has to, since it's all condensed in a month) but in the end I had acquired the strong basics of teaching English as a foreign language. The trainers are constantly here to help you and the 6 observed hours of teaching practice with feedback are incredibly helpful. You can see yourself progressing from one class to the next. All in all, I'd definitively recommend it if you aim to teach English abroad.
This course was perfect and really prepared me for getting a job in TEFL. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. There is a lot of work, which is good as it shows you the amount of work required as a teacher. If you’re considering getting your TEFL certification, TEFL Toulouse is highly recommended!
I can thoroughly recommend this course. Jonathan and the team of 4 or so other trainers as well as Judith the admin and housing officer make the course a perfect balance between academic, friendly, supportive and fun. I wasn't expecting to love Toulouse as much as I did either - it is a beautiful old city with a fantastic nightlife - restaurants and bars everywhere. I also managed to get hooked up with some French people who took me up to the Pyrennees walking and skiing, then off to Barcelona for the weekend. Go for it , you won't regret it! Matt

Yes, this course is externally moderated by the IATQUO UK who carry out regular moderation visits.
For this, you need to study French, too. We offer a discount package of 1 month of TEFL followed by 6 months of French, which is renewable if you wish to stay longer in France.
Yes, this course has been available since Spring 2024. You can watch videos of the in-class sessions, and then either come to us for teaching practice or send us videos of you teaching.
No problem. We can match you with the accommodation type you want: a small apartment alone, living with a family, or a shared apartment. This service is free of charge; you just pay the landlord.
