Frequently Asked Questions

What level qualification will I get?

The CertTESOL is rated at Level 5 on Ofqual’s Regulated Qualifications Framework, a comparable level to the second year of an

undergraduate degree.

Can I bring my pet?

While we love pets, we unfortunately cannot accommodate them in the student housing. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions for emotional support animals.

What is the workload like?

On the Trinity CertTESOL course, you’ll be in the school from 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with weekends & evenings free to socialise and work on assignments. You will teach two lessons per week, with allocated planning time alongside a tutor, and there are several assignments to complete by the end of the course. It’s an intense few weeks, but well worth the effort!

How many hours a week of Spanish will I study?

Once you complete the CertTESOL teacher training, you will begin your Spanish lessons. You can choose between 10 hours (2 hours/day) and 20 hours (4 hours/day) per week.

What is the DELE exam?

The DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera) exam is an official qualification that certifies your proficiency in the Spanish language, issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish government. The exam tests reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, and the diploma is globally recognized. It's the gold standard in Spanish competency.
