TEFL Hero

I was a professional teacher in my country, but since I moved to another country, I didn't possess any official teaching certificate that enabled me to teach online. And I was not looking into a very long online program in which I had to do demos and stuff because I had a teaching certificate from my own country, then upon looking, I found TEFL HERO. It was a perfect match for my busy schedule as I could finish the courses at my own pace. Now, I am teaching officially on a famous online platform, and I appreciate the opportunity that TEFL HERO provided for me.

The good is that TEFL courses are much more accessible and financially feasible than ever before. I was frankly shocked at the prices whether due to the pandemic or the online platforms. I chose TEFLHERO on price and construction by practicing educators. Generally the experience was what I had expected. I'll list two areas in which TEFLHERO could improve. They need to edit their content. There were acceptable omissions of words, spelling and grammar. I don't take issue with the occasional mistake. There were quizzes with duplicated questions. Again, no real objections. Where they need to edit is their formatting. Their presentation obviously developed from outline but their formatting of that outline is confusing. Point five will move on to point 2 in the exact same typeface such that you have to stop the flow of reading and scroll up to recount what point 1 was. It's not pedantic; it's confusing to a presentation solely in text. They desperately need consistent header formatting applied across their presentation. One of the selling points of the course is creation by real teachers. But after you buy on this premise it's only expression is in the content selection. That is an important contribution but I'd also prefer to hear their experiences. As example, when talking about co teaching tell me the horror stories of that one co teacher. For a fixed audience of prospective educators sold on the promise of the nitty gritty of teaching, there is a stark absence of color commentary. More stories please.

TEFL Hero was a great experience and just what I needed for my course - staff was responsive and even followed up when I had completed everything. The course itself was a super accessible and a lot of reading, but the quizzes made sure to revisit the core topics.
