Program Overview

We are looking for passionate volunteers to join our ongoing research projects. Working with our Director of Ecological Research, the volunteer will practice research skills and such as taking samples, observing and identifying species, and using camera traps. Projects change seasonally, so please contact us for specific details on which projects are currently running. The selected candidate will move through the jungle on paths, off-trail with GPS, on a boat, or by motorbike. Conditions can be intense, with heat, heavy rain, and insects. Volunteers for this program should be nature enthusiasts, willing to explore deep into the jungle and deal with the conditions that come with wild spaces. While conditions in the jungle can be harsh, the research station provides a comfortable place to rest, recharge, and process data. We provide comfy beds, bedding, mosquito nets, a fully stocked kitchen, beautiful lakeside views from our cabins, plumbed toilets and clean showers, a shared office space, starlink internet, and support staff to keep the space clean and ensure you are well cared for.
