Women and Girls Empowerment Volunteer Program
Volunteer in Ghana with St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation (SMWEF) and support women and girls from disadvantaged backgrounds. This program focuses on empowering destitute women and young girls in rural communities by providing guidance, support, and life skills training. Volunteers work alongside grassroots women’s associations, clubs, and groups to launch income-generating activities and develop sustainable solutions for the daily challenges these women face. Your role includes training participants in valuable life and entrepreneurial skills, and contributing to research that explores new ways to combat poverty. No specific qualifications are needed—just a willingness and enthusiasm to help uplift women in need. The goal is to foster self-sufficiency and confidence, helping women become independent decision-makers and active members of their communities. As a volunteer, you will: • Teach life skills such as healthy eating • Initiate income-generating activities • Promote self-independence • Encourage self-empowerment • Offer support and guidance • Help develop micro-businesses and small loans Want to know more?
