Volunteer Teaching Abroad Program with SMWEF
Program Overview
Volunteering in an international educational program is a powerful way to prepare for a career as a teacher, educational administrator, or principal. By joining a teaching project in another country, you’ll expand your worldview, immerse yourself in a new culture, and gain valuable global perspectives—making you a more qualified and marketable educator.
The St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation (SMWEF) offers a range of teaching opportunities, including working in classrooms at the kindergarten, primary, or secondary level. You may also support informal education efforts through after-school library programs, community centers, women’s shelters, or orphanages.
As a volunteer, you’ll:
• Work with rural and urban schools
• Teach English words and grammar
• Provide support to teachers in the classroom
• Follow teacher lesson plans and create your own
• Teach letters, numbers, colors, and other basic subjects
No prior experience is needed—just enthusiasm and a willingness to help. Many local teachers welcome fresh ideas and creative activities to engage their students and improve learning outcomes.
