Sports/Football Coaching Volunteer Program in Ghana

Get involved with sports and youth development in Ghana, helping to promote a healthier, happier, and more active lifestyle. Whether you are a qualified instructor looking to develop and stretch your skills or a sports enthusiast wanting to gain more experience, this program is designed for you. Sports are an important part of many children’s day-to-day lives. Social and essential life skills can be learned whilst having a bit of fun with friends. Here at St. Miracle Works, we have worked hard to allow volunteers to get involved in the local sporting community. Our sports program is available throughout the year, flexible, and located in rural areas in Ghana. Football Volunteer Tasks: During your time coaching football in the afternoons, you will be responsible for developing the basic skills and techniques of young football players. You will coordinate coaching sessions around topics such as the development of ball control, accurate passing, keeping possession, game tactics, and moving into space. Assisting coaches in planning match strategies and practice games. Assisting with team selection and may even be required to be ‘on the bench’ for weekend or evening matches.
