Midwifery Internship & Volunteer Program
St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation invites midwifery interns and volunteers to support our partner hospitals and clinics across Ghana. These health facilities deliver essential services such as maternity care, diagnosis and treatment of malaria, typhoid, and diarrhea, as well as contraceptive services, infant immunizations, antenatal care, ultrasound scans, and HIV/AIDS counseling and testing. As a volunteer, you’ll take part in health education sessions focused on expectant and nursing teen mothers, covering topics like reproductive health, family planning, infant nutrition, and preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS. You’ll also assist with weekly immunization programs both at the health center and in outreach visits to remote villages. Volunteers with backgrounds in medicine, midwifery, nursing, or public health—including students, groups, and families—are welcome to join. Your role will involve supporting both preventive and curative health services in an environment where resources are limited and your contributions are deeply valued. Volunteers need to bring personal protective gear such as scrubs, gloves, and masks for their own use during the placement.
