French Teaching Volunteer Program

by: St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation

Add first reviewSince 2017

Ghana is surrounded by French-speaking countries, making French an essential subject in local schools. While the language is taught from lower primary to junior high levels, many rural schools lack qualified French teachers. To address this gap, we welcome French-speaking volunteers to support language education in underserved communities. You don’t need to be a certified teacher—if you can communicate fluently in French, you qualify for this placement. Volunteers may teach French independently once they are familiar with the school and curriculum. Volunteer responsibilities may include: • Teaching or assisting in French language classes • Helping students with French exercises and homework • Engaging children in basic French conversation during play • Supporting with classroom activities and educational games • Assisting teachers with administrative duties • Helping clean and organize the classroom This flexible program offers a rewarding experience while making a meaningful impact on students' language development.
