Program Overview

Join Spirit's Teacher Program in the USA! Qualified international teachers have the opportunity to teach on a J-1 visa for up to three years on the BridgeUSA Teacher Program. Positions are currently available in Spanish bilingual classrooms, from grades K-12.

BridgeUSA Spanish Teacher Program candidate eligibility requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in both Spanish and English
- Qualified to teach elementary or secondary grades K-12 in your home country
- Earned a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education
- Have at least 2 years of full-time K-12 teaching experience after receiving a bachelor's degree
- Currently teaching in your home country OR earned an advanced degree within the last 12 months

Program Highlights

Gain valuable experience in the USA as a temporary exchange teacher at an American school for 1-3 years.
Teach 32 hours per week with a salary equivalent to American teachers with similar background and experience.
Benefit from J-1 Visa program sponsorship provided by Spirit, with support available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week from Spirit's experienced staff.
Experience American culture through a variety of cultural activities, including visiting local sites of interest or having dinner with your new American friends.
Become eligible for Spanish bilingual classroom placements through Spirit's Premium Placement option if you possess Spanish language skills.

Growing and glowing!

Since the beginning of this experience, it has been amazing, I have grown tremendously as a professional and as a person. I am grateful to live and to the Spirit program for allowing me and helping me develop in a different environment than the one I was used to. Growing up the way I have done this time has fulfilled me and I feel that now I can shine in the way I expected. I hope to continue learning every day from all the experiences at school with my students, from new friends, and from everyone around me.
