The Practicum in Education gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience during the summer in Seville, Spain, by serving as Teacher Assistants in SSA’s Playschool program for Spanish children ages 4 to 12. Playschool is a 5-week English immersion summer camp where children learn through daily routines, classroom activities, theater, cooking, science experiments, field trips, and more. Practicum students support teachers by helping prepare activities, assisting with classroom management, supporting crafts and hands-on projects, and helping with preparation and cleanup.
