This program was amazing! We traveled all across Iceland, learning from various professors about renewable energy. We also visited several hydropower and geothermal power plants across the country and got to hear from the operators there as well. We covered the engineering of renewable energy, every types' pros and cons, and policies that different countries have used to incentivize transitioning to renewables. This program has a great work-life balance and you get super close to all of your classmates as well. Along the way we saw lots of waterfalls, glaciers, puffins, and even got to climb an inactive volcano. Highly recommend to anyone majoring in environmental science or a related field.
