When can I apply for the program and when do applications close?

Applications for the GWP 2026 will open on 3 October 2025 and close on 15 November 2025.

When will I know if I have been accepted?

You will receive the results via email, within 3 to 7 working days, after the submission of your application.

Do I need to apply for a student visa?

Students who require an entry visa to enter Singapore must obtain a visa if they do not hold a Singaporean Identity Card (IC). Detailed information on applying for a Student's Pass will be provided before November.

What does the miscellaneous fee include?

All matriculated students attending SMU will be required to pay miscellaneous fees, which cover IT services, matriculation fee, and medical insurance.

Please note that SMU's medical insurance does not cover travel-related expenses. Students are encouraged to purchase their own travel insurance for adequate coverage during their time abroad.

Can I transfer credits to my home institution?

Credit transferability is determined by and at the discretion of your home university. Each course confers one SMU Credit Unit, equivalent to 6 - 7.5 ECTS, 10 - 12 CATS, 3 - 4 US credits. Please consult with your university administrators regarding the transfer of course credits before submitting your application.
