As an au pair in the United States, you’ll provide up to 45 hours of childcare per week, receive a weekly stipend, and improve your English through daily life and required college coursework. With guidance and ongoing support from Au Pair International, you’ll have the confidence to grow, explore, and make the most of your American au pair adventure. After your 12-month program, enjoy a 30-day grace period to travel the country. There are also extension options available for those who want to continue their au pair journey!

Salary & Compensation
Minimum Weekly Stipend: The U.S. Department of State sets a minimum stipend, currently $195.75 per week. This amount is based on the federal minimum wage, minus an allowance for room and board. Your host family pays you weekly.
