With guidance and ongoing support from Au Pair International, you’ll have the confidence to grow, explore, and make the most of your American au pair adventure. After your 12-month program, enjoy a 30-day grace period to travel the country. There are also extension options available for those who want to continue their au pair journey!

Salary & Compensation

Minimum Weekly Stipend: The U.S. Department of State sets a minimum stipend, currently $195.75 per week. This amount is based on the federal minimum wage, minus an allowance for room and board. Your host family pays you weekly.
