Summer Program in Lisbon, Portugal
Program Overview
Come experience the allure of Lisbon, Portugal with Santa Barbara City College in Summer 2027! While not as fabled as “The Eternal City” of Rome or Paris, “The City of Light,” Lisbon is older than Rome and casts its own storied, silky, stunning light, illuminating the city as a captivating, many-layered cultural mosaic. This summer session includes courses in contemporary literature and creative writing while living the "vida bela" (the beautiful life) in lustrous Lisbon. The program is academic in nature, but it also provides opportunities to make new friends, explore personal interests, and become acquainted with Portugal's profound living history.
The program will also include an overnight group excursion outside of Lisbon. Students are welcome and encouraged to use Lisbon as their springboard for further European travel.
Please email Jordan Molina ([email protected]) or Tino Garcia ([email protected]) if interested and with any questions. Tchau!
