Program Overview

Discover Rome, the Eternal City, with Santa Barbara City College this Fall 2027. This semester abroad offers coursework in Italian Language, History, Photography, and Art History — all while living in the heart of Rome's historic city center, where ancient ruins, Renaissance art, and everyday Italian life exist side by side. Students don't just study Rome's past; they walk through it, photograph it, and become part of its story.

Beyond the classroom, this program is an invitation to embrace la dolce vita — the sweet life. Students will build lasting friendships, explore their creative and academic interests in a new cultural context, and gain a firsthand understanding of Italy's living history. Academically rigorous and personally transformative, this is a semester that shapes not just a transcript, but a perspective. Rome is waiting — make it part of your story.
