Rwenzori Royal Institute and Mohama (RWEMO) is a community-driven organization dedicated to environmental conservation, education, and women’s empowerment in the Rwenzori region of Uganda. We believe that protecting nature goes hand in hand with uplifting people. Our mission is to safeguard natural ecosystems, empower local communities, and inspire sustainable development through hands-on conservation work, education programs, and community leadership initiatives. RWEMO is creating real change by restoring Kasese wetlands, educating the next generation, and supporting women as leaders of environmental action and economic growth. Together with passionate volunteers from around the world, we are building a healthier environment and a brighter future for our communities.
