Stand in the shadows of the majestic Andes mountains, connect with warm-hearted indigenous peoples and their culture, and take a selfie with a llama! Peru offers the opportunity to trek majestic trails, explore ancient ruins, visit rural villages, and engage in meaningful community service and genuine connection with the locals. Sacred Valley Service – Step into the past and marvel at the breathtaking landscapes and architectural wonders of Machu Picchu. Plus, engage in service projects that contribute to the well-being of local communities in the Sacred Valley.
Program Highlights
Live with host families in a Sacred Valley village and contribute to community-led projects.
Earn about 20 hours of community service that supports local partner goals.
Visit Pisac, Ollantaytambo, and Cusco, and take the train to Machu Picchu for a guided visit.
Stand-up paddleboard on a high-altitude lake, climb a via ferrata, and ride a zipline.
Learn traditional Andean weaving techniques and make chocolate at a local workshop.

The Andes to Amazon trip in Peru was amazing! I got to meet a ton of new friends while traveling and exploring this amazing country! We got to see such a wide range of places that I got to really understand Peru!

Adventure of a Lifetime!

I went to Peru this summer with Rustic Pathways and had an amazing experience. Everything, from the amazing staff to the activities and scenery, was absolutely perfect. Couldn’t recommend enough! I have no doubt that any trip with Rustic will be a trip you’ll remember and cherish forever.

Amazing trip to Peru!

I attended the college-aged Rustic Pathways trip to Peru this summer! I had an incredible and life changing experience. The staff was friendly, the other students were extremely kind & the activities we participated in were once in a lifetime! I highly recommend this trip to any student aged 18-22.
