Over the course of this reforestation and biodiversity internship, you’ll become a green-fingered wizard, building up a repertoire of skills in the field. The main goal of this exciting project is to reforest an area of land spanning 27 hectares. You’ll be in charge of looking after the forest and monitoring the species of trees, plants, and animals found there. The data you collect will form part of the monthly reports and will help to shape the content for the organization’s communications and TV show. You’ll be part of a passionate, driven team of nature enthusiasts, finding ways to create a beautiful, thriving natural environment rich in biodiversity.

August 17, 2024by: geauxtravelProgram: Reforestation and Biodiversity Internship in PortugalThis past summer, I had the amazing opportunity to intern with SOS Animal at a sanctuary in Santarem, Portugal. Overall, everything exceeded my expectations! The sanctuary was beautiful and the community there was very warm and friendly. If interested in any aspect of wildlife or just have a love for animals I would highly recommend indulging in this opportunity. The volunteer schedule was very flexible and left plenty of room t explore various cities.
