This internship is ideal for those looking to develop their skills in marketing and fundraising, at the same time raising awareness of important environmental issues affecting the flora and fauna in the Santarém region. As a marketing and fundraising intern, you’ll play a key role in helping to shape and spread the organization’s main initiatives. With an aptitude for creativity and thinking outside the box, you’ll be responsible for planning and creating content to help engage and inspire supporters to donate. This could include managing the organization’s social media channels and website, as well as helping to plan effective fundraising campaigns to raise awareness of the organization and their work. And you’ll do this while living in a beautiful, serene sanctuary nestled amongst Portuguese forests, with the sound of bird song as your morning alarm clock!

    It isn’t a requirement to take a personal laptop/device with you as this will be supplied by the organization, however you are very welcome to use your own if preferred.

    Where will I stay during this internship?

    You’ll stay in a shared house at the sanctuary, which is located in the municipality of Santarém, 80 km north of Lisbon.

    Will I be given guidance/support for this internship?

    Yes, you will receive support from the team throughout your internship.
