Fundraising Internship in Malawi
Program Overview
Are you passionate about the environment and sustainability? This will be the perfect opportunity for you! You will be interning for a nonprofit organization in Malawi that works with a grassroots program and operates permaculture clubs. They strive to endorse organic agriculture and long-term sustainability in rural communities. Your duties as an intern will be to correspond with funders, run online campaigns, and compose proposals for fundraisers. You will gain impeccable communication skills and website management. You will be handling social media channels and website management. This experience will enhance your resume and be part of a wonderful cause.
Tasks:
- Developing and organizing online fundraising
- Writing grant applications
- Performing fundraising research
- Assisting with donor management
- Helping to evaluate the impact and write impact reports
- Assisting with the development of communication strategies
- Managing social media
- Writing various content like blogs and newsletters
This internship is also available as a remote internship.

What can I do in my free time in Malawi?
There are plenty of adventures that you can participate in during your fundraising internship in Malawi! From snorkeling and kayaking to watching lively football matches and exploring the beaches, you’ll be keeping busy immersing yourself in this country’s culture and visiting its landmarks.
Will transportation be provided?
Our package doesn’t include any kind of transportation to and from your destination. However, our team can assist you with arranging your transportation to and from the airport to the project's base camp.
How safe is Malawi?
In general terms Malawi is considered safe for tourists. But it is always wise to exercise caution in cities and avoid isolated areas. We recommend joining other like minded volunteers or interns to explore new areas together.
