Travel to Uganda and join a hands-on environmental internship that is focused on building climate resilience and promoting sustainable land use. This Climate Resilience Internship gives you the opportunity to support local initiatives in Uganda dedicated to agroforestry, reforestation, and sustainable site planning. You will work alongside farmers, teachers, and young people to help design and implement practical solutions which enhance food security, restore ecosystems, and create more resilient communities. Your role will vary depending on your chosen focus - Tree Nursery and Agroforestry or Sustainable Site Planning and Management. You will work on projects such as tree nurseries, map restoration sites, student-led guided projects, and sustainability workshops. This experience will provide an immersive understanding of community-based environmental work, while offering insight into the challenges and rewards of creating long-term, meaningful change at a grassroots level.
