Our journey began ten years ago in Ireland under the name Retiros del Alma, offering spaces for wellbeing and personal growth. Three years ago, we took a new step, establishing ourselves as the Association El Alma del Búho, based in Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz, while maintaining the same essence and purpose. We were founded as an association that honors well-being, learning, and both shared and individual experiences as paths to growth and transformation. Retiros del Búho is a space to return to oneself, in community. Additionally, we are launching our new courses in collaboration with Mercedes Marquez. Learn Spanish in a fun, dynamic, and enriching way while exploring Andalusian culture, history, food, and nature. Join an intensive Spanish immersion experience while enjoying the culture, lifestyle, and beauty of southern Spain.

Where are your retreats and courses held?
Our retreats and courses are held in Chiclana de la Frontera, at our venue Finca El Alma del Búho, located in the province of Cádiz, in Andalusia, Spain.
Do I need certain knowledge or level of Spanish language to attend?
We offer courses by levels, so it’s best to check the level required for the course you’re interested in before applying. Email us with any questions you have.
What is included in the course price?
Everything listed in the package is included: accommodation, half board, classes, and some activities. Anything not included is detailed in the “Not Included” section of the package.
How can I book a place and what is your cancellation policy?
You can request a place by choosing one of the available room options. We will get back to you as soon as possible. Once your place is reserved, you will always have direct contact with us, and we will support you in organising your stay.

Is airport transfer included in the retreat or course package?
Airport transfer is not included. However, we offer this service at an additional cost from Jerez Airport, San Fernando Bahía Sur Train Station, and the bus stations of Chiclana de la Frontera or San Fernando. You can contact us to check prices.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
Working with Retiros del Alma and now Retiros del Búho continues to inspire and fill me with passion. I care deeply for each group, doing my best to ensure everything is well for the people who come to visit us, making their experience as meaningful, welcoming, and nurturing as possible.
