RRFB is offering a specialized 6-month internship centered around communication, outreach, and education in marine conservation. This position provides hands-on experience in how a non-profit organization communicates science, engages communities, and inspires action to protect coral reefs. During this full-time volunteer internship, you’ll work closely with our Communications and Education teams to help share our story and connect people with our mission. You’ll also participate in restoration fieldwork, including nursery maintenance and outplanting, to gain a full understanding of our restoration operations and strengthen your ability to communicate our work. Program Highlights
Tell the Story of Coral Restoration: Help translate science into engaging stories through social media, newsletters, and outreach materials that inspire people to protect coral reefs.
Create Real Content with Real Impact: Produce photos, videos, and written content from active restoration work that is used across RRFB’s platforms and public outreach.
Hands On Education and Outreach: Support and design classroom lessons, snorkel tours, and community workshops and gain experience engaging audiences of all ages.
Behind the Scenes of a Conservation Non Profit: Work closely with the Communications and Education teams and learn how a marine conservation organization plans, creates, and shares its message
Fieldwork That Strengthens Your Storytelling: Participate in coral nursery maintenance and outplanting to fully understand the work you are communicating and connect audiences to real action.
