As in life, your Quest experience is what you make it…
November 28, 2025by: Jax Tatham (Ross) - ZimbabweYou can choose to either sit back and let the experience pass you by or take a chance, dive head first and watch yourself be transformed, sometimes in ways you don’t expect. Expect the unexpected I suppose! I arrived on day one with little self confidence and very much in my own shell. By the end, the program had stretched, challenged and drawn me out of myself. I had achieved so much in the short time I was there with the biggest transformation being my self confidence - I suddenly had some… Wholeheartedly recommend Quest to anyone willing to discover their potential!
The lessons I learnt here, the experiences I had
September 26, 2025by: EliasQuest Africa has been the best period in my life and I know for a fact that the lessons I learnt here, the experiences I had, the places I saw, the people I met, and the things I did, both easy and tough, will stick with me for the rest of my life and that is something I would never take back.
I witnessed firsthand how small daily efforts compound into lasting growth.
September 24, 2025by: FelixI witnessed firsthand how small daily efforts compound into lasting growth. I learned that it's not about making a single effort and expecting results; it's about committing to show up repeatedly, even on the challenging days. That rhythm of effort has become a foundation I know I can rely on.
How to find value in everything and everyone he encounters.
September 22, 2025by: NaomiDuring his time with you he spoke to me regularly about his journey. He learned that life is rarely fair, and that the true path is always lined with self-doubt and challenges. But he also learned how to listen. How to be of service. How to push past his perceived limits. And perhaps most importantly, how to find value in everything and everyone he encounters.
The lessons I learned during and after the challenges I faced
September 07, 2025by: ClaraI've often been asked if I would do Quest again even if I knew what hardships waited ahead, and my answer has been yes every single time, not only for the lessons I learned during and after the challenges I faced but also because of the people I met.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your approach to safety and supervision?
A participant's safety is our top priority, backed by an impeccable 15-year record. Our campus is a private, 850-hectare managed wilderness estate, and certified professionals lead all activities. Crucially, our partnership with Falcon College provides access to their world-class medical facilities, ensuring professional support is always just minutes away.
How is the Quest different from other gap year or adventure programs?
Most programs focus on one thing, like adventure or volunteering. The Quest LifeCamp is different because it's a holistic, experience built on our 6 Acumens. We don't just guide you on an adventure; we teach you tangible skills in our on-site workshop (welding, mechanics), give you real-world financial literacy by managing expedition budgets, and provide professional coaching to help you find your direction. It's a comprehensive journey.
How will this experience help with University or a future career?
Top universities and employers are seeking young people. The Quest experience offers a significant competitive advantage. In fact, 94% of our alumni report a substantial increase in confidence, and 89% gain clarity on their next steps. You’ll return with proven leadership skills, cross-cultural experience, and the kind of earned confidence that sets you apart in any application.
What does a "typical day" on the LifeCamp look like?
The truth is, no two days are the same. A week could include summiting a mountain in the Eastern Highlands, learning to weld in our workshop, training with anti-poaching rangers at a rhino conservancy, and pitching a business idea 'Dragon's Den'-style. The days are a dynamic blend of physical challenges, hands-on skill development, and personal coaching, all designed to push you out of your comfort zone in a supportive environment.
