Accredited TEFL Certification for Teaching in Singapore
by Premier TEFL
Program Overview
Employers in Singapore generally look for a degree and a recognized TEFL certificate, and they arrange the work pass on your behalf. Premier TEFL's accredited 120 Hour TEFL Course gives you that certificate online, so you can qualify from Singapore or from home before you apply.
What Singapore asks for: foreign teachers need a work pass issued by the Ministry of Manpower, usually an Employment Pass or S Pass, and the employer submits the application. The Ministry of Manpower's published criteria assess qualifications and salary, so a degree strengthens your case. Language centers, enrichment schools and online platforms commonly list a TEFL certificate of at least 120 hours as a requirement.
Which course fits: the accredited 120 Hour TEFL Course is the right starting point for Singapore. It covers lesson planning, classroom management, grammar, vocabulary, and the four skills. If you want a stronger profile for competitive roles, the 180 Hour Level 5 TEFL Diploma, regulated by Ofqual under reference 610/1572/6, is the step up.
What is included: self-paced online study, tutor support throughout, a digital certificate on completion, career resources, and the AI Skilled Teacher Certificate, which shows you how to use AI tools in lesson planning and classroom practice.
Next step: enroll online and start the same day, or speak to the team about which course level suits the roles you are targeting in Singapore.
