What type of writing styles will I be able to work on?
The reality is that the ratio of folks most interested in prose to those most interested in poetry is roughly six to one. We have to accommodate that fact by conceiving one of the two workshops as "multi-genre." But the fact is that our classroom mentors almost all began as poets, were trained, if you will, as composers of verse and segued into prose.
Do you provide accommodation?
We do not provide accommodation, but we do assist in securing affordable housing in dorms near the program venues or in private accommodations.
Will I have time to travel on the weekends?
Yes! Many students have done so in the past or even taken a day or two off during the weekday. In general, Fridays through Sundays are free for you to spend as you like, although we do provide non-mandatory excursions and office hours at this time.
