Overview: Planet Aid, in partnership with Richmond Vale Academy (RVA), invites individuals looking for a fresh start to join the 10-month People 2 People Volunteer Program. This immersive experience offers the chance to break from routine, build new skills, and contribute to meaningful work addressing poverty, inequality, and climate change. Through hands-on training and real community projects, participants grow personally and professionally while supporting long-term sustainable development. Qualifications: • 18+ years old • Ready for meaningful work on global issues • Open to learning, new cultures, and hands-on challenges • Adaptable, team-oriented, and resilient • No prior experience required Program Structure: Phase 1 – Training (3 months): Learn global development, sustainability, teamwork, and leadership through hands-on workshops. Phase 2 – Project Work (6 months): Live and work in a project country supporting education, health, agriculture, and climate action. Phase 3 – Reflection (1 month): Review your impact, refine your goals, and plan next steps. Start Dates: April & October

What are the behavioral expectations?
As part of the People 2 People Volunteer Program, we ask all participants to help maintain the kind of environment where everyone can thrive, stay safe & stay focused on the work they came to do. Because you’ll be living, learning, and working closely with a team & local communities, this program follows a strict no-drugs, no-marijuana, and no-alcohol policy for the full 10 months. This sober environment is essential to protect your well-being.
How long is the program? When is it?
Our program begins every October and April and runs for a total of 10-months.
Is there an upper age limit?
No, volunteers just have to be physically and mentally healthy.
What if it's too expensive?
