Planet Aid

Planet Aid is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the environment and improving lives through sustainable development. Founded in 1997, Planet Aid collects and recycles used clothing and shoes, reducing waste and supporting global reuse efforts. By diverting millions of pounds of textiles from landfills each year, the organization helps conserve resources, cut carbon emissions, and promote a more circular economy.

Beyond environmental impact, Planet Aid supports international community development projects focused on education, health, sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and poverty reduction. Much of this work is carried out through partnerships with development schools and organizations abroad, including institutions like Richmond Vale Academy. Together, these programs empower individuals and communities with the tools, training, and support needed for long-term, self-sustaining change.
