This program supports a small medical center/hospital that aims to provide affordable health care to everyone in the local community. It is based in Bijilo, on the friendly sunshine coast of West Africa. Volunteers with any of the following skills and experience are encouraged to join this project: • Nurses • Midwives and gynecologists • Physiotherapists • Lab technicians • Radiographers • Alternative therapists Depending on their skills and experience, volunteers can help to develop the capacity of Bijilo Medical Center in a variety of ways while working alongside local medical practitioners and/or running training workshops to develop skills.
