How can I apply as a volunteer language teacher onboard Peace Boat?

Please go to the Peace Boat website and click "GET Involved" and "Peace Boat GET Volunteer Teacher": Download the Information and Application pack from our website and check the "Application Requirements". Please note that we ask applicants to complete the application form as well as a number of tasks, including a self-intro video and lesson plans. Please submit your application via email.

Is laundry service included in the program?

No, laundry is not included; however, it can be done for a fee, and coin-operated machines are available, which are very economical.

Can I join the program with a partner?

Yes, you can, however, your partner must apply seperately and be approved as an individual on their own merits.

APPLICATIONS FOR PEACE BOAT VOYAGE 124 ARE NOW OPEN! Would you like to use your language teaching skills to help build a global culture of peace while seeing the world at the same time? The Global English/Español Training Programme is Peace Boat's English and Spanish school. On our voyages, this programme is run by international teams of passionate volunteer teachers who inspire our students to use language to make connections with people from all over the world. Peace Boat's language training programme, GET, is now accepting applications for English and Spanish language teachers for the 124th Global Voyage until April 17th, 2026 close of business JST. Take part in Peace Boat Voyage 124 and travel across the globe while gaining a meaningful teaching and cultural exchange experience at sea.
