5 (1)VerifiedSince 2006

This programme offers a fantastic opportunity to work and travel in one of the most beautiful countries on earth. Our 12-month package provides expert support to navigate the essentials—from finding employment to completing the paperwork required to kickstart your life in New Zealand. Your journey begins with a social 7-night arrival experience in Auckland, designed to help you settle in, meet fellow travellers, and discover the best of the North Island. The programme balances practical support with coastal adventure. During your first week, our local team handles the logistics, assisting with bank account setup, IRD registration, and job consultations. You’ll then head north for an unforgettable road trip. This true Kiwi experience features surf lessons on pristine beaches, sandboarding at Te Paki dunes, and a visit to Cape Reinga, where two oceans collide. New Zealand offers immense opportunity, with roles available in hospitality, tourism, and agriculture. Competitive wages allow you to fund your travels as you explore the laid-back lifestyle and rich Maori culture. From Auckland to the Bay of Islands, create lifelong memories during your 12-month adventure.

I can’t recommend Oyster enough!

Oyster have been amazing to me. Originally I had planned to go to Whistler for a ski season however, my Visa didn’t arrive in time. I was able to transfer to one of Oyster’s New Zealand programmes and I’m having a fantastic time so far. Sami and Georgie were so helpful when helping me sort everything out. If you are looking to do any kind of gap year I can’t recommend Oyster enough!
