HELP Women Volunteer / Coordinator

Volunteer: this project aims at empowering women in the local communities, either by offering development projects such as workshops, or simply alleviating their workload by offering some support. This project works discontinuously, so it is best to enquire about current operations beforehand.

Coordinator: if you are experienced and feel capable of starting up a small project addressing women's issues, e.g., domestic violence, health, etc. this position is for you, regardless of our current operations. Take responsibility for leading and organising the HELP Women project. This project requires a significantly larger time commitment than the others, involving more extensive community contact.

Activities:
Outreach work to connect with communities and assess the needs of the local women.
Meet individually and in small groups to build relationships and trust with the local women.
Organise and/or give workshops on women’s rights/sexual education/domestic violence/hygiene/nutrition, etc.
Organise and/or give workshops or training in handicrafts and other skills that can be sold for an income.
Monitor the project budget and coordinate other volunteers who will be working under you.
