March 26, 2009by: AGA - GhanaProgram: Focus on Public Health at NYU Accra in GhanaStudied Linguistics and Arabic language here. The program was excellent in general, and especially since it was my first time traveling except as a tourist. I felt safe and welcomed both by the program and by Ghanians in general. Some people complained that NYU took care of us "too well" but it is certainly possible to immerse yourself in the culture if you take the initiative by: advice: take courses at Ghanian University as well as at NYU. Do an internship or community service.
