Program Overview

Spend a few weeks in Indonesia on a volunteer abroad program with LPTM and teach locals the Arabic language and about Arabic culture. Participants are expected to teach only twice a week for two hours, giving them enough time for private activities such as meeting and interacting with locals. They may also visit different places of interest and go on excursions on weekends and holidays.

To help volunteers converse effectively with locals, they are provided with one month of intensive training in the Indonesian language. Applicants must be fluent in Arabic and followers of Islam and have medical insurance coverage.

Program Highlights

Teach the Arabic language to Indonesian youth interested in learning Arabic culture and about Islam.
Explore the city of Makassar—the capital of Sulawesi, meet with local people, and go on excursions to nearby places of interest.
Attend a month-long intensive training on the Indonesian language.
Live and work in Makassar for 9-12 weeks and get the chance to explore the local culture.
Get the chance to visit Indonesia's stunning islands, including Bali, Java, and Lombok.

Trip to find myself!

I am Lamyae FOUKI , i am moroccan , i am an architecture student in France , while studying i realized that this field is not what interest me really , that is not what i want to do in my life . I love languages , i speak french and Arabic and english fluently as i have a modest level in Japanese and Spanish and Chinese . I have a small non official experience in teaching as I used to help some foreigners students i morocco to learn Arabic and also i taught french to some Japanese volunteers in Morocco , i felt happiness for what i was doing , i think this is the path i want to take , teaching and helping .
