Join us in protecting coastlines and combating climate change through our Mangrove Restoration & Climate Action Program in Tanzania. Mangroves are powerful ecosystems - they shield communities from storms, store up to five times more carbon than other forests, and provide breeding grounds for fish and wildlife. Sadly, many mangrove areas are threatened by deforestation and pollution. As a volunteer, you will take part in hands-on mangrove planting, monitoring, and community awareness activities that directly restore degraded sites. You’ll also support environmental education workshops with schools and youth groups, helping the next generation understand the importance of climate resilience.
