By pledging to speak only the target language abroad, students have the best chance of acquiring fluency and actively engaging in the local environment. In Japan, all participants take language, cultural reflection, community engagement courses, and content courses alongside Japanese students at International Christian University, a non-denominational university known for its superior language instruction. Students will stay in on-campus housing and have plenty of opportunities to interact with Japanese students.
