Middlebury College offers students the opportunity to study in Chile at the Universidad de Concepción, a private university in the center of the city that boasts the most unified campus among Chilean universities. Because it hosts a few international students, the university allows our participants to take advantage of a full linguistic and cultural immersion experience. The university specializes in Spanish literature, history, and biological, environmental, and marine sciences. While in Concepción, students live in a homestay, allowing access to the life of a local family. Through coursework, various extracurricular activities with local peers, internships, or volunteer work, they are expected to live the language in Chile.
